Steve Williamson’s musical journey started as a drummer in the town of Sheffield South Yorkshire from the age of 8. He was heavily influenced in singing due to his father who regularly encouraged singing in the house.
Then at the age of 17 he came to Birmingham where he joined the local church choir. His singing ability was developed by listening to artists such as, Luther Vandross, Lionel Ritchie, Stevie Wonder, Daryl Coley, Ella Fitzgerald, Kim Burrel, Fred Hammond The Winans, Commissioned, Donnie McClurkin.
He would practice every Sunday for 2 hours religiously to songs to develop a unique sound and style and have his own interpretation of sounds he enjoyed.
Steve was also in a Musical called Choices joining a cast from America, this ran in the Birmingham city for a number of weeks.
Steve also has partaken in session work for X-factor for 3 years when he lived in London which he provided backing vocals for over 45 sessions for the various artists that appeared on the show.
Steve currently sings at weddings and various other life events, where he is hired due to his emotive and classic sound.
In addition to the above, Steve also has studio work experience of 4 years and has a demonstrated ability and reliability for this type of vocal work.
